tKC Youth Mentoring Programme is funded through generous support from Kenilworth United Charities.
In addition to our ongoing youth club activities, tKC Youth Club provides mentoring and support to local young people.
the Kenilworth Centre offer up to 12 hours of mentoring sessions each week throughout the academic year to students of Kenilworth School and young people residing in Kenilworth. These sessions are designed to improve confidence and self esteem, offer a positive role model and address key issues that young people might be facing.
In general, mentoring aims to build confidence and relationships, to develop resilience and character, or raise aspirations.
These sessions are free to access although a referral needs to be made. For more information on how you or your young person can access this support, please email our Lead Youth Worker – Sam Metcalfe at sam@thekenilworthcentre.com
Feedback from SEN at Kenilworth School – “Sam’s and Howard’s continued support for our students has been invaluable. Being a large school we have many students requiring their guidance with a variety of issues.
Sam and Howard go above and beyond to ensure they provide an excellent service tailoring their advice to a student’s particular need such as helping them resolve friendship/family issues, advising them on how to write a CV or suggesting strategies that may help them overcome mental health difficulties.
After meeting Sam and Howard many of our students begin to attend the sessions at the Youth Centre and access everything that it offers the young people of Kenilworth”.
